ABOUT
From a young age, Florent displayed talent as a pianist and drummer. He furthered his studies at the Nîmes Conservatory and later at the Montpellier Conservatory, with the goal of becoming a composer for film and video games.
At the Montpellier Conservatory, he received training from renowned educators such as Luc Marty, former orchestrator for John Williams, and Sophie Lacaze, an internationally recognized composer and former student of Ennio Morricone. Under their guidance, he honed his skills in composition, writing, and orchestration, becoming a composer attuned to the challenges of the future.
Inspired by film scores from composers like John Williams, Bernard Hermann, Joe Hisaishi, and Ennio Morricone, Florent was particularly moved by Nino Rota's score for the film "The Godfather" (1972). This experience motivated him to pursue a career as a film composer.
Florent also had the opportunity to meet Rémi Gazel, the composer of the first Rayman game. This encounter sparked an artistic friendship that led him to explore new horizons in the world of video games. He draws inspiration from the works of composers such as Jesper Kyd (Hitman), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Junichi Masuda (Pokemon), and Stephen Rippy (Age of Empires 2), thus expanding his musical repertoire.
